Accomplished Auto Concord, NH, Now Offers Limited Customer Towing

At Accomplished Auto, our Concord, NH auto shop is excited to announce a new limited towing service exclusively for our repair customers in the greater Concord area. If your car won’t start or isn’t safe to drive, our team can now tow your vehicle directly to our shop for repairs. This limited towing option is designed as a convenient, customer-only benefit—getting your disabled vehicle straight to us without the hassle of arranging a third-party tow. In this post, we’ll explain what our towing service includes, the areas we cover, our equipment limitations, and how we operate in full compliance with local and federal regulations to better serve you.

Service Area – Concord, NH and Surrounding Towns

Our towing service is limited to Concord and its neighboring communities so we can serve local customers promptly and efficiently. Towns within our towing range include:

  • Concord, NH (including the Penacook area)

  • Pembroke (southeast of Concord)

  • Bow (south of Concord)

  • Boscawen (north of Concord)

  • Hopkinton (west of Concord)

  • Hooksett (south of Concord)

  • Chichester (east of Concord)

  • Contoocook (in the Hopkinton/Concord area)

  • Webster (northwest of Concord)

If you’re located in one of these areas (or very close by), we can arrange to tow your vehicle to our repair facility. Focusing on this local radius ensures we can respond quickly and stay within the scope of our towing permits and insurance coverage.

Towing Capacity, Equipment Limitations, and Rates

Because we use a flatbed car-hauler trailer pulled by our shop truck, our towing capability is best suited for standard cars, SUVs, and light trucks. There are a few important limitations to note:

  • Maximum Vehicle Size: We can tow vehicles up to full-size pickup trucks, as long as the vehicle’s width is under 6.5 feet (78 inches). This width limit is based on our trailer’s capacity – it can safely carry most cars and half-ton/light-duty trucks, but anything wider (such as certain dually pickups or extra-wide vehicles) won’t fit on the trailer.

  • Flatbed Trailer Advantages: Using a flatbed trailer means all four wheels of your car stay off the road during transport. Keeping the vehicle fully supported and level on the trailer prevents wear and tear on your tires and drivetrain, and avoids transmission damage (especially important for all-wheel-drive vehicles). Flatbed towing is widely regarded as the safest way to transport a vehicle without causing damage, protecting your car from potholes or road debris along the journey.

  • Towing Rates by Distance:
✅ Up to 15 miles from our shop: $150 flat rate
✅ Up to 35 miles: $250 flat rate
These flat fees include loading, secure transport, and delivery to our shop — no hidden charges.

How the Towing Service Works

This service is available primarily to existing (and new*) customers of our repair shop to help when a vehicle isn’t drivable. Here’s how it works:

  1. Schedule a Tow: If your car breaks down at home, work, or another safe location in our service area, just give us a call to request a tow to our garage. We’ll coordinate a time for our team to arrive with the tow trailer. (Note: we are not an emergency towing service. We cannot respond to accident scenes or vehicles stranded on public roads/highways—our towing is limited to planned pickups from private locations.)

  2. Pickup from Private Property: We are authorized to tow vehicles only from private property with the owner’s permission. That means we’ll meet you wherever the car is located — usually your driveway, yard, or a private parking lot — as long as we have the property owner’s consent (often this is you, the vehicle owner, or the owner/manager of the property). We will not perform a tow without proper permission, to ensure we aren’t trespassing or taking a vehicle without authorization. (For example, if your car won’t start at home or in a friend’s driveway, we can come get it. But if it’s stuck on the side of a public road, by law we cannot remove it unless the proper authorities are involved.)

  3. Tow to Our Shop: Our staff will carefully load your vehicle onto our flatbed trailer using proper winching and tie-down techniques — just like a professional towing company. Once the car is secured, we’ll transport it directly to our repair facility. Because we tow straight to our own shop (not to an impound yard or storage lot), the process is simple and quick. Upon arrival, we’ll unload your car right at our garage and move it into a service bay or our parking area for check-in.

  4. Repair and Follow-Up: After your vehicle arrives, we’ll begin our normal repair process. We diagnose the issue, provide you with an estimate, and perform the needed repairs upon your approval. When the work is completed, you can pick up your vehicle from the shop as usual. (If you need a ride when dropping off or picking up your car, let us know — we may be able to assist or recommend local options, though return transport is not included as part of the towing service.)

Note: New customers are required to provide a deposit before we dispatch our tow vehicle to pick up your car.

Capacity and Scheduling

Because this is a limited service, we currently have only one tow trailer and a small team trained to operate it. Tows are typically scheduled during our normal business hours on a first-come, first-served basis. We do our best to accommodate urgent requests, but if our trailer or team is already in use, we may have to schedule your tow for later in the day or the next day.

As our towing service grows, we’ll adjust and possibly expand our capacity. In the meantime, please call us to check availability and we’ll work out a solution. If our in-house tow isn’t immediately available, we can advise you on using a trusted third-party towing company to get your vehicle to our shop promptly.

We’re thrilled to roll out this new limited towing option for our customers. It represents our commitment to full-service auto repair in Concord, NH – not only fixing your car, but also helping you overcome the hassles that come with a breakdown. By staying local to the Concord area and focusing on our customers’ needs, we can ensure a legal, high-quality, and personalized towing experience that large towing companies can’t match. For Concord-area drivers searching for a reliable mechanic near Concord, NH, this added convenience is yet another reason to choose Accomplished Auto for all your car repair needs.
